    A Fun 7-Day Tokyo Itinerary: The Ultimate 1-Week Tokyo Guide (By Nikhil-kun, Tokyo Resident for 3 Years)

    Konnichiwa everyone! I’m Nikhil Kun I’ve been living in Tokyo for the past three years, and after showing many friends around, this is the best and simplest 7-day itinerary I always recommend to first-time visitors. It’s fun, easy to follow, and covers the “wow spots” without rushing too much.

    Whether you love food, culture, anime, shopping, or photography — this plan will give you the perfect first taste of Tokyo and beyond.

    🌟 Day 1: Harajuku → Shibuya

    Perfect for: Fashion, street food, sightseeing, city vibes Start Time: 10:00 AM

    1. Meiji Shrine (明治神宮)

    • Opening Hours: 6:00–16:30 (varies slightly by season)
    • Cost: Free
    • Tip: Go early — peaceful and beautiful before crowds.

    A calm Shinto shrine inside a giant forest. Great place to start your Tokyo trip with some refreshing nature and traditional vibes.

    2. Takeshita Street (竹下通り)

    • Cost: Depends on shopping
    • Try Crepes – ¥600–¥900 Rainbow cotton candy ~¥1,000 Thrift shops like Closet Child

    3. Omotesando

    The “Champs-Élysées” of Tokyo — beautiful cafés and architecture.
